Facilities and Services

Meals:

Our huge hostel kitchen is open to guests from 5am until 10pm for cooking, socializing and taking advantage of free coffee and tea. There are two small supermarkets just 5 minutes walk from the hostel for those who want to self-cater. We also employ a local chef who prepares delicious dinners ($9-12) and breakfasts ($3-5) on request from locally-sourced ingredients, offering a great opportunity to share a family-style meal with guests and volunteers. You can even fish your your own supper with one of our local guides! Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are also available, but we do not offer a lunch menu, as most travelers are out and about during the day.

Cash:

There is no location in Drake Bay where you can withdraw cash, so please bring enough to pay for transportation, groceries, souvenirs and the like. You can pay for your stay at the hostel including tours and activities you organize with us by cash or credit card upon departure. One of the supermarkets in the village also accepts card.
