One of our most talented local guides, Edin, will take you on a night hike to an adventure through the jungle and rivers of the area in search of all kinds of fascinating nocturnal creatures. Snakes, spiders and endless insects can be discovered on this tour, but do not worry! Edin will make sure he is safe from any dangerous animal! Sea turtle tour

Our popular 3,000-mile night sea turtle patrol on Drake Beach in El Progreso offers an unforgettable opportunity to see endangered parrot turtles nest or even release offspring at sea. Your expert guide from the local conservation association ACOTPRO will describe how the nesting process works and how the town protects sea turtles.
Chocuaco lagoon & Trail

A unique and spectacular canoe trip through Chocuaco Lagoon, one of Osa’s largest wetland systems and best kept secrets. The lake is surrounded by a panorama of virgin mountain forest and is a refuge for water birds and wild flowers. The trip includes an opportunity to try some traditional artisanal fishing while on the lake. From here, guests can explore the jungle surrounding the lagoon, discover the secrets and historical context of important trees and medicinal plants that are along the trail, and have the opportunity to try some seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Come to one of our environmental education classes after school and participate in learning with local children! A great activity for families, you will have the opportunity to practice your Spanish, make environmental and cooperative games and learn about the unique natural wonders of the Osa Peninsula, through the eyes of a child. Helena, our environmental educator, asks that you consider bringing something for the children when they participate in the class – any kind of basic implements or art supplies, a snack to share or a small donation.

We offer both snorkeling and diving (two tanks) day trips to Isla del Caño. On the boat trip (wet landings), you can see whales, dolphins and turtles en route, but once in the water tourists can spot giant rays, tuna, needles, barracudas, snappers, sharks, sea turtles, and whales , among many other marine life. Round trip transportation from the lodge, an experienced bilingual guide, entrance to the park and a picnic lunch at San Josecito beach are included in the price. It is possible that the snorkelers accompany the diving groups; Ask the hostel staff to make arrangements.
Sierpe River Mangroves

A spectacular half-day boat tour (wet landings) of the protected Terraba-Sierpe Mangroves. Primarily a bird whatching tour, tourists are almost guaranteed to spot heron, egrets, cotingas and osprey in their pristine natural habitat. But there is also a good chance of spotting mammals too, such as agouti and rivers otters and reptiles such as caimans, cocodriles and boas.
Deep sea fishing

This half-day fishing trip, which departs from Agujitas (wet landings), takes tourists around the coastal waters of Drake Bay to catch snappers, wahoo, dorado, king mackerel and even sailfish and tuna. This half-day tour will take you to Drake Bay’s first zip line attraction at Corcovado Canopy Tours in Los Planes. Located in an impressive forest region that contains some of the tallest trees in the area, the site has 13 platforms (up to 30 meters high) and 11 cables (190-400 meters in length). The tour is certified by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) and is insured by the National Insurance Institute (INS). Round trip transportation from the lodge, equipment and a certified canopy guide (English, Spanish and German) are included in the price.
Rio Claro Floating Tour

This tour is a truly unique and fun way to explore the stunning rainforest of Rio Claro, San Josecito Beach and Drake Bay. Beginning in the village of Los Planes, the tour includes a walk to a swimming waterfall followed by a float down the river to reach the coast. Corcovado Overnight Tour In Sirena Station
2 days-Starting and finishing in Drake Bay
Price: $335 per person in Cash
This trip leaves Playa Colorada, Drake Bay at 6:00 a.m. for a 50-minute boat ride to Sirena beach. From the beach, we go to Sirena Station because we need to drop the luggage not needed during the hike hence, we start exploring trails.
Hikes are walked at a casual pace to allow time for observation and asking questions. Lunchtime is around 12:00 noon for roughly an hour. After resting another walk take place g until 5:30 p.m., ending back at Sirena Station.
The next day starts at 5:30 a.m. for a sunrise hike followed by breakfast in the forest at 6:30 a.m. After breakfast, we’ll go to the station to pack everything to have it ready to depart when the time comes. We’ll continue hiking until lunch at the station at 11:30 a.m.
The boat leaves Sirena beach at 12:30 p.m., arriving back to Drake Bay around 2:00 p.m.
